DUTY
AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Provide transportation from Program Director’s home to and from
presentation location.
· Set up, take down and move presentation equipment throughout the presentation
location as directed by Program Director.
· Advance slide show during presentation as directed by Program Director.
·
Be respectful of the learning objectives and environment of and during
the Program Director’s presentation.
· Break down and properly secure presentation equipment for transport
and storage at the end of the day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·
Must have some experience and be skilled in the use of computer and projector
setup, software programs – PowerPoint, and comfort with a MAC environment.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to excel at details,
multi-tasking and working under pressure.
·
Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle.
COMPENSATION:
·
$10/hour stipend. The Program Assistant’s day begins upon pickup
of Program Director and presentation equipment and ends at drop-off of
Program Director and presentation equpment at her home.
SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
1. Advance power point slides as the Director involves
the teachers and students to participate in the read-aloud program, the purpose
being to have Michael Sage’s words speak for themselves to the teachers
and students even though the Director directs the passageways.
2. After each class of 45 minutes, properly prepare the equipment for classroom
transport according to the checklist provided by the Program Director, (e.g.
powering down, disconnecting cords in proper order and reconnecting at the next
class). in proper order and reconnecting at the next class.
3. Remain available to, but do not intrude upon, the Program Director’s
interactions with the Teacher as the Program Director performs Pre and Post Class
Administrative tasks. Note:The Director needs
to talk to the teacher after each class to get her/his signature for the classroom
count, and his/her comments,
input and further contacts he/she
may have with other teachers in other schools for TWS to go to with this FREE
program.
4.The
assistant will be a polite and interested but quiet listener throughout
the entire day.
I
mapquest to get an idea of time needed to get to the school and then
figure on getting to the school 15 minutes ahead of the first
class scheduled. We can do anywhere from 6 to 8 classes a day. Possession
and knowledge of GPS would be useful.
